APS Shoutouts

Mr. Wyatt is an incredible teacher. He is amazing, and if you are getting bullied, he gets right down to it.

Mr. (Adrian) Hall is kind to everyone and always puts smiles on students’ faces.

Mr. (Nicholas) Wyatt is the best teacher here. We are thankful for having you here at L.E. White.

Ms. (Bella) Hawk is my favorite paraprofessional and helps me be nice. She also helps me with my work and is nice to all students and staff.

Ms. (Denise) Davis has helped me through so much. I had a bad first trimester, and she helped me through all my hard times and always made sure I was all right. She helped me understand math more and helped me get my grade up. She is literally awesome.

Juliann (Alexander) went above and beyond her daily job expectations preparing for the middle school’s fall conferences. Our building looks amazing!

I am shouting out Mrs. Ojeda because she is a super nice and respectful teacher who treats all of her students really well. Thank you, Mrs. Ojeda, for helping me with my assignments!

Our custodial staff is so appreciative of Mrs. (Dawn) Nesbitt for how she monitors her students’ use of the restrooms. It saves us a lot of time with cleaning and helps keep the school looking nice.

I wanted to give a shoutout to Ms. (Nikki) Taplin and Mrs. (Casey) Kroll for their work with my son! At the start of year, he had difficulties exploring and learning. These educators went out of their way to ensure my son is now excelling at school! Thank you!

(Jennifer Hamman) has such a genuine passion for her job. She creates a safe space and makes every student feel loved and cared for. Her ability to communicate and listen to understand is truly inspiring. We love and appreciate you!

Mrs. (Lisa) Lugten has made a huge impact on me. She always tells me to believe in “the power of yet.” Whenever I’m speaking negative about something, she lifts my mood up! Thanks, Mrs. Lugten! I’ll always remember you.

I want to shout out Mrs. Miller for being the best teacher ever. She is so understanding, and if you ever need someone to talk to, she is always there to listen. She truly cares about all of her students!

No offense to the other teachers, but (Ms. Esmeier) is my favorite teacher. You are so nice. You’re the best!

(The APS Food Service staff) works hard every day to provide us with yummy food. It always tastes amazing and is served with love. We see and appreciate you all for the work you do!

(Juli Alexander) is the best custodian ever. Thank you for supporting us, giving us Tiger tickets, listening to us, and making us better people.

I want to give a shoutout to Juli Alexander. I started walking on the indoor track in the Allegan Fieldhouse recently due to the inclement weather, and Juli has been there every time I’ve walked, busily doing her job. I can tell she takes pride in keeping it spotless!

(KaSondra Grandmason) makes a great impact on the students. Thank you for being understanding and a great secretary by always having a positive attitude.

Mrs. Bannatyne is such a sweet person, and she has taught me a lot of academic and even personal skills. She is the best Tigers teacher!

(Mr. Zimmer) has helped me with everything. There have been some rough times between us, but he kept pushing me to do better, and now I have really good grades and am doing really good in school.

I love how kind and understanding Ms. (Mallory) Miller is. She is so sweet. She helps me with my work and lets me vent a little bit.

I want to thank Mr. (Kenny) Whitcomb for being here every day and always greeting his students and working with them.

Ms. (Jennifer) Hamman was my saving grace my freshman year and continued to help me throughout my high school career. She has helped me through something major in my life and has helped me navigate how to handle hard things!

Mrs. (Jamie) Antoine is the best counselor and understands the students. I am happy she works with us.

Mrs. (Shelley) Baker is the best teacher ever, because she is really nice! She lets us do really fun stuff.

I love Ms. (Amanda) Boes, because she is a very kind-hearted teacher. Her attitude makes class more fun and enjoyable. I appreciate her so much.

Mr. (Jason) Eichbauer is the best! He is very inclusive and lets me work with all of the materials I need. He lets me work on independent art without question. I deeply appreciate it, as it gives me solace to create art freely, without restriction.

Ms. (KaSondra) Grandmason is very sweet to me and makes me feel like she thinks of me as a person and not just a student.

I love Ms. (Lori) Layman so much for everything she does. She is so understanding, and it always makes my day when I get to see her. TigerVention with her is amazing because she always helps me with my English work for Humanities. Ms. Layman is such a sweetheart.

I would like to shout out Ms. (Katie) Boelman, the middle school therapist. She has helped me a lot and has given me a lot more motivation. My room is cleaner now because of her!

This shoutout is for Ms. (Lori) Fletcher. She is always going out of her way to make her students feel welcome and that they are heard. We appreciate you!

I would like to shout out Mrs. (Christina) Festerling, because she does a lot for the student council and for the staff and students at our school.

This shoutout is for Mrs. (Chelsie) Heeres at West Ward. She is so caring, kind, and compassionate. I’m thankful for her support and her willingness to communicate no matter how big or small the need. We’re really going to miss her when we move on to first grade.

I would like to shout out Mrs. (Mallory) Miller, because she is a very nice teacher. She teaches well, and she is the best teacher I’ve had.

I want to shout out Ms. Juli (Alexander) for being there whenever someone just needs to talk or when someone needs something. She is always right there to help out! And she helps anyone who needs it without any hesitation whatsoever. So thank you, Ms. Juli!

A shoutout to Beth Ann DeLaet for making parent-teacher conferences with our multilingual learners so meaningful and easy! Thank you for all you do for our students.

As a parent and active volunteer, I wanted to say thank you to all of our district staff. I see how hard you work.

I would like to thank Ms. (Mallory) Miller for being a very good teacher. I do very well in her class, and she is good at the subject she teaches. I also feel like I can always go to her if I ever need anything. Her classroom is very comfortable for me, and she is just overall one of the best teachers I’ve ever had.

I want to give a shoutout to Mr. (Anthony) Hutchins, Mr. (Mike) Zimmer, Mr. (Jacob) Baumann, Mrs. (Hailey) Baker, Mrs. (Stephanie) Ryan, and Mr. (Mike) and Mrs. (Paula) Andrysiak for being kind teachers and helping me with school. I would also like to thank Mr. (Christopher) Reeve and Ms. (Abby) Waynick for being great principals.

I want to shout out Mr. (Josh) Greene, Mrs. (Kay) Scharlow, and Mrs. (Becky) Calvert. I learned so much my 8th grade year because of these three teachers. I loved math after having two years with Mr. Green. Thank you to Mrs. Scharlow for making history class seem easy. And thank you to Mrs. Calvert for helping me with writing and finding books that sparked my interest.

I am a new kid at APS, and I wanted to say thanks to all the teachers and my classmates. You have supported me and helped me start a new school year! I’m so excited to finish out the school year with y’all. Thanks again. You are all the best.

Shout out to the Tigers family at L.E. White Middle School. You guys have made middle school interesting and fun, I will miss you all.

I would like to shout out Mrs. (Mallory) Miller for being a fantastic teacher. She has helped me so much all year long, and I’m so grateful for her help and what she has taught me. I’m so happy I got to have my whole year with her, because I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have a teacher as outstanding as her.
